At the Difference Engine, I worked with software engineers to build an e-commerce site for a local social enterprise aimed at serving coffee to an under-resourced community.


When I joined the team:

  • Development had been ongoing for months without a clear end date or delivery plan in mind
  • Lack of clarity on feature requirements relative to completed work
  • Limited feature prioritization


  • Worked with tech lead to break down features in scoping document to write users stories and prioritize development tasks to deliver MVP of site to client
  • Scheduled consistent demos for client feedback and clear communication of planned feature delivery
  • Gathered information from client to communicate needs back to development team

Product Features & Delivery



Enable logged-in user to select, purchase, and manage subscriptions for multiple products, while also enabling simultaneous one-time purchases


Wholesaler Management

Enable wholesalers to apply online and employees to view and approve wholesaler applications



Enable employees to add, edit, and remove products from product page using integration with 3rd party payment API (Stripe)
